We adopted Maya when she was 12 weeks old. Our little baby had a rough start to life and came to us with some skin issues. We could tell from the very start that she was very intelligent. She is definitely a thinking dog and I believe she sometimes over thinks things. She does only what she wants when she feels it necessary and will let you know when she wants something. She has a ton of personality packed into her little body. Maya is currently competing in flyball where she holds the Onyx title and has earned her Iron Dog title for 10 consecutive years racing in flyball.
We were fostering Daphne's mom when she and her brother and sister were born. Daphne unfortunatley lost her mom when she was 5 days old so we took over and bottle fed the puppies until they were old enough to eat on their own. This litter of puppies will always hold a very special place in my heart and I found it difficult to let them all go so Daphne stayed. Her brother and sister have both gone to wonderful families who we keep in touch with. Daphne is a Karen Pryor training partner.
With the loss of Chandler, the house was in need of a boy. I saw Mikey's picture on the FB page of a mini-aussie breeder and I was in love! After a lot of thought Mikey came home. He is my first purchase from a breeder and he is a pure bred toy Australian Shepherd. I happen to love the herding breeds! Mikey is a very cautious boy but has overcome his fears in the flyball lane and just loves the sport. He currently holds his Flyball Master title.
Fergus aka Gus Gus
Fergus is the newest addition to our Macdoggies family. He is a red merle Toy Australian Shepherd. Mikey was such a nice addition as well as being a great size for travel we decided we needed another! Fergus is a very friendly, outgoing and curious puppy. Gus has started his flyball training! We have big hopes for this little guy.
